Gender: M

Former EUI Affiliation: SPS

Year of Graduation: 2018

Current Employment: PostDoc at the Freie Universität Berlin, and at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center

Languages: Hungarian, English, Romanian

Short bio: I received my PhD in December 2018 from the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the European University Institute, with a thesis on “Parties and protests in crisis-hit Europe: continuity and change in the structure of political conflict”. Before that I studied political science at the Central European University (still) in Budapest, focusing on electoral politics. I am motivated to participate in this for two reasons. I think there is an additional pressure first generation researchers at the EUI face, and this pressure is even higher if in addition one comes from the eastern european educational system/ background. If there's someone currently there who faces this issue, I am glad to share my experiences.
